These photographs come from real weddings across South Wales and further. Every couple, venue and celebration brings its own rhythm to the day.

My approach is documentary, which means I’m paying attention to what’s naturally unfolding rather than directing constant poses. I’m there for the quiet nerves before the ceremony, the laughter during speeches, the way people hold each other when they think no one is watching.

There will always be space for a few relaxed portraits, but most of the gallery you see here comes from moments that simply happened.

If you’re worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera, you’re not alone. Most couples feel exactly the same. The aim isn’t to perform for photographs, but to let the day unfold while I quietly document it.
