Beach Sessions.

There's something about the beach that lets everyone relax. The children are off collecting shells or dipping their toes in the water, nobody's being asked to sit still, and that's exactly when the real pictures happen.

These run in the evening, from six, when the day-trippers have gone home and the light drops low and gold over the water. September at the beach is honestly lovelier than August. You've got the whole sweep of Jackson's Bay behind you, space to wander, and twenty minutes to just be together while I hang back and catch the connection between you.

Bring a towel and a change of clothes for the car after, because someone always ends up wetter than planned. Dogs are welcome too, if they're part of the family.
