About Me
Hello, I'm Joanna
I'm a South Wales photographer specialising in weddings and the early days of motherhood, with an empowered boudoir offering rooted in confidence and connection.
I photograph people as they are, in the moments that feel real rather than performed. My work is calm, documentary-led, and centred around connection — the quiet pauses, the in-between glances, and the moments you don't always realise you'll want to remember until time has passed.
I'm drawn to the parts of life that are fleeting and emotionally full — wedding days that pass in a blur, the tender intensity of early motherhood, and the quiet confidence that comes from seeing yourself differently. Photography, for me, isn't about perfection. It's about honesty.
Outside of photography, I'm someone who values slowness, connection, and balance. Photography has taught me to notice the beauty in ordinary moments, and it's a privilege to do that for other people.
My approach
When you book a session with me, you won't be rushed, directed constantly, or asked to perform. I know how easy it is to feel unsure in front of a camera. That's why my approach is gentle and unhurried.
A relaxed, grounded presence
I work in a way that allows you to settle into your day. Most of the time, I'm quietly observing and anticipating what's about to happen — not interrupting it.
Gentle guidance, no stiff posing
You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to be 'good in front of the camera.' You just need to show up and be yourself.
An experience that adapts to real life
Sessions are shaped around you — your timeline, your comfort, the way your day actually unfolds. Thoughtfully curated images that tell a complete story.
Ready when you are
If this feels like the right fit, I'd love to hear from you. You don't need to have everything figured out — just a sense that this approach resonates. I'll guide you gently from there.
